Week 7 This week we did investigations with eggs. We compared an egg from one of the waka chickens to an egg bought from the supermarket. We also talked about different ways we can eat eggs. We cooked eggs: sunny side up, hard-boiled, soft-boiled and scrambled. What fun!!! At the end we got to eat our creations.
There was a seal at Howick and he was perched up on a rock. Later on a photographer and his girlfriend appeared and took photos. Everyone was shocked when they saw the seal because it is very rare. This seal has a dangerous bite. You need to stand twenty metres away from the seal or else it might bite you. Seals are cute but dangerous!

Biting Cutie
"What's this seal doing on the rocks?" A seal in Howick! On August 13th a photographer and his girlfriend were startled to see a lone seal pup without its mother in between Howick Beach and Cockle Bay. A ranger said everything's all right as long as you don't touch it. Mother seals leave their pups for about 20 days. I think it's surprising for a seal to appear on the beach like that!

How to Play 22 Skadoo
22 Skadoo is a game that we play in PE. To play you need: cones, sticks (make sure it’s safe) and finally, taggers. Put cones in a square shape on both sides. These are the safe zones. Put cones in the middle in a circle shape. This is the prison. Choose taggers and give them a stick. Choose prisoners and put them in prison. Everyone else has to go in the safe zone. When the game starts the people who are free have to free the prisoners by giving them 5 high 10s. The taggers have to tag the free people. If you get tagged you go in prison. I think that this is a great game to play in PE!
